Accountant II – Financial Reporting & Treasury

About the role

The Accountant II will provide financial and administrative support across receivables, inventory, and retail functions. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cash‑flow management, and strict adherence to company policies and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and verify company transactions, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare periodic financial performance reports.
• Assist treasury operations to support cash‑flow management.
• Support inventory management and reconciliation to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Manage debt collection and credit control in line with credit policies.
• Record incoming payments, reconcile accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare schedules and reconciliations for internal and external audits.
• Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial control policies and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• KCSE grade B+ or higher.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Statistics (Second Upper Class).
• CPA/ACCA at least Level 2.
• Knowledge of SAP and experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in report writing.
• Advanced MS Excel and spreadsheet application skills.
• Experience with SAP.
