Assistant Residential Manager – Oneonta Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive, and serene living environment for adults with developmental disabilities. This full‑time, onsite position combines leadership, direct care, and administrative duties to ensure resident needs are prioritized.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals alongside the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and trip logistics.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Oversee accurate shift documentation and facilitate hand‑over reports.
• Maintain active programming, daily planners, goals, and service plans for each resident.
• Conduct medication audits, MAR checks, prescription orders, and assist with medical appointments.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration, and perform physical interventions as needed.
• Participate in all required trainings, staff meetings, and on‑call oversight.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical lifting requirements.
• Valid driver’s license to operate Springbrook vehicles.
