Chief People Officer – Global HR Leader

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a visionary Chief People Officer to lead its global People function. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape the people agenda that drives impact for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a Global People Team of ~70 FTE and oversee HR services for 12,000 staff across 50 country offices.
• Drive the transformation of Global People Services, stabilising operations, strengthening HR systems and data, and building a modern, employee‑centred service model.
• Partner with Transformation and IT teams to design the future workforce and capability model.
• Strengthen leadership pipelines, embed a high‑performing, values‑driven culture, and enhance employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Act as trusted adviser to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board on people, culture and organisational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR or people leadership experience in a complex international organisation.
• Proven track record of large‑scale HR transformation and organisational change.
• Strategic vision combined with operational rigour.
• Experience rebuilding or modernising people operations, HR shared services and enterprise HRIS platforms.
• Influential, collaborative leader comfortable working across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups.
