Consultant – Website Optimization and Content Migration

About the role

The BOMA Project is seeking an experienced consultant to improve the usability, performance, and content‑management efficiency of its website. Over a three‑week remote engagement (with occasional visits to the Nairobi office), you will work closely with the Communications Manager and IT team to audit the current site, refactor content, redesign the Leadership page, and migrate existing reports.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive front‑end and back‑end audit to identify hard‑coded text, image‑based content, broken links, and non‑editable elements.
• Convert embedded text into editable HTML/CMS content and standardise formatting using reusable CMS blocks.
• Redesign the “Our Leadership” page to improve visual hierarchy, ensure full CMS editability, and support structured data for profiles.
• Migrate all reports and publications to the current platform, applying consistent file‑naming conventions and logical categorisation.
• Collaborate with the Communications Manager to finalise layouts, implement a modular design, and document changes for future updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in website optimisation, content migration, and CMS management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within a short timeframe.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with non‑technical staff.
