DC Power Telecom Technician – Level II

About the role

As a DC Power Telecom Technician – Level II you will support the installation, modification, and maintenance of DC power and telecommunications equipment across Central Office, Data Center, Substation, and Outside Plant sites. The position requires frequent travel and works under the guidance of senior technicians or project leads.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation, testing, and turn‑up of DC power and telecom equipment.
• Perform additions and removals of battery strings under supervision.
• Support modifications on working equipment and circuits.
• Install auxiliary framing, relay racks, and related infrastructure.
• Read and follow job drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Follow SMOPs and DMOPs during maintenance and cutover activities.
• Complete job logs, work reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Assist with DC audits, preventive maintenance, and basic inspections of standby batteries.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in DC power, telecommunications, or related technical installation work.
• Basic understanding of DC power systems, batteries, and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow written procedures.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Valid driver’s license; US citizenship required.
• OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain).
