Direct Support Professional – Norwich Region

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join its team in the Norwich region. You will help adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fulfilling lives by supporting daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and community outings.
• Encourage choice and independence while providing protective oversight.
• Support clients in educational, residential, and community settings.
• Maintain compliance with Springbrook policies and state regulations.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and mandatory overtime as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive Springbrook vehicles.
• Willingness to be reassigned to other locations based on business needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
