Finance and Contracts Officer – EU Delegation Kenya

About the role

The EU Delegation in Nairobi seeks a Finance and Contracts Officer for its Regional Partnerships Unit. The role supports financial and contractual management, providing advice and training to staff and beneficiaries while ensuring alignment with EU headquarters directives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial and budgetary advice to Delegation staff and project beneficiaries.
• Organise and deliver training on contractual and financial matters.
• Monitor and control performance, priorities and achievements of assigned operations.
• Support the Team Leader in decision‑making and execution of financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with EU financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Open to Kenyan nationals and residents holding a valid work permit.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across sections.
• Willingness to undergo a six‑month probation period.
