Front of House Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Front of House Team Leader to join the Slug & Lettuce team in Cardiff. You will work closely with management to deliver a memorable guest experience and ensure smooth daily operations in a vibrant bar and restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the front‑of‑house team to achieve high service standards.
• Maintain consistency in service delivery and uphold brand standards.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, handling enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, stock control and cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with the management team to implement operational improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a front‑of‑house supervisory or team‑lead role within hospitality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire a diverse team.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Minimum age of 18 years (due to alcohol sales responsibilities).

Required skills

• Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic cash handling and financial reconciliation.
