Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our technology team and help build high‑performing, scalable, enterprise‑grade applications that support the bank’s digital transformation across Africa. You will work in agile squads, collaborating with product owners, front‑end developers and infrastructure specialists to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Scala, Spark and Python.
• Build, optimise and monitor data pipelines and processing workflows.
• Integrate and manage AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, ECR and ECS.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams to deliver full‑stack features and ensure seamless API integration.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews and technical decision‑making.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and troubleshoot issues across the stack.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with backend development principles, RESTful APIs, microservices and serverless architectures.
• Proven ability to work in agile environments and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
