General Manager – Navy Gateway Inns & Suites

About the role

Amentum is seeking a General Manager to lead the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS) on Diego Garcia. This senior hospitality position oversees all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences and alignment with US Navy requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily administrative and operational activities of the hotel, including front‑desk, reservations, room assignments, and guest services.
• Maintain facility standards through room preparation, maintenance, and cleanliness compliance.
• Manage inventory and supplies to guarantee uninterrupted operations.
• Coordinate reservation systems to ensure accurate room availability and prioritize guest needs.
• Supervise, schedule, and develop hotel staff across front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
• Conduct performance reviews and address staff concerns to boost efficiency and morale.
• Resolve guest issues promptly, fostering a customer‑first atmosphere.
• Prepare financial, inventory, and reservation reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience administering hotel operations, reservation systems, and inventory management.
• At least one (1) year of college‑level education in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven leadership ability to manage teams and drive operational efficiency.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Professional, customer‑focused demeanor.
