About the role
The FA Para Division is seeking a Head Coach to lead the England Women’s Deaf Squad. This casual contract runs until 31 July 2027, with up to 65 days of work across the season, primarily home‑based but delivering sessions at St George’s Park and other locations.
Key responsibilities
- Coach the England Women’s Deaf Squad to achieve high performance and winning results.
- Create a clear team identity, fostering confidence, cohesion and positive spirit on and off the field.
- Collaborate with the Senior Technical Lead on squad selection, player development and tactical periodisation.
- Work with the Senior Lead Coach Development – Para to design and deliver a curriculum for transitioning young players.
- Support the Technical Performance Manager with remote technical assistance for players.
- Build relationships with FA staff, futsal clubs and educational partners.
- Lead the multi‑disciplinary management team and oversee tournament preparation.
- Gather and act on IDP feedback throughout the season.
- Contribute to coach education programmes and strategic direction of Women’s Deaf Futsal.
- Represent the FA in media briefings and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience coaching elite women’s deaf futsal or similar teams.
- Ability to develop and implement a tactical periodisation plan.
- Strong leadership skills to manage a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication for media engagements and stakeholder collaboration.
- Commitment to the FA’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda.
