High School Upper Level Math Tutor – Geometry to Calculus & Statistics

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking enthusiastic high‑school math tutors to deliver personalized, in‑home or online instruction for students in Boulder and Jefferson Counties. You will support learners covering Geometry 1A, Algebra, Calculus 1B, and Statistics 1B, helping them master state curriculum concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one academic support aligned with Colorado state standards.
• Create and assign supplemental exercises to reinforce understanding.
• Offer remedial help and enrichment activities tailored to each student’s needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about progress and areas for improvement.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Valid Colorado teaching certificate, or be a student teacher, or have at least two years of classroom experience.
• Experience as a university teaching assistant, lecturer, or private tutor is a plus.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of high‑school geometry, algebra, calculus, and statistics.
• Effective verbal communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to design customized lesson plans and assignments.
