Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead a team of Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the high standards of Fairmont The Norfolk. This role balances operational efficiency with exceptional service, supporting the hotel’s reputation for luxury and heritage.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks and rooms to Room Attendants and monitor completion using checklists.
• Maintain inventory of guest supplies and manage consumables within budget.
• Prepare and enforce deep‑cleaning schedules for rooms and corridors.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning, sign off shifts, and address any deficiencies.
• Report defective equipment to Engineering and coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper.
• Prioritise cleaning for VIP guests, early arrivals, make‑up, and DND rooms.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, overtime logs, and special day schedules.
• Conduct regular team meetings, provide training, and take disciplinary action when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising housekeeping staff in a hotel environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and guest‑service orientation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends.

Required skills

• Familiarity with housekeeping management tools (e.g., Masteroll) and inventory control.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to cleaning operations.
