HR & Government Relations Specialist – Agricultural Operations

About the role

Watania Farms Group is seeking an HR & Government Relations Specialist to support its integrated agricultural operations in Kilifi County, Kenya. The role combines human‑resource responsibilities with liaison duties to government authorities, ensuring compliance, employee welfare, and smooth operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operational, administrative, and supervisory duties in line with company procedures.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, occupational safety, environmental, and Kenyan employment law requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and government agencies to sustain operational continuity.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
• Identify and report non‑conformities, hazards, or maintenance needs, and recommend improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficient use of company assets.
• Uphold company policies, code of conduct, and promote a professional workplace.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification, diploma, trade certification, or professional experience related to HR, government relations, or agricultural operations.
• Knowledge of Kenyan employment law and agricultural regulatory procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in a remote farm environment and possibly reside on‑site.
• Basic computer literacy.
