Junior React Developer

About the role

JHC Consulting is looking for a Junior React Developer to help maintain and enhance the front‑end of its internal platforms that deliver written analysis to clients. The position is fully remote, with a focus on supporting the firm’s expanding operations in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user‑interface components using React.
• Create semantic HTML and CSS to ensure consistent document layouts across devices.
• Translate design requirements into functional code, emphasizing typography and readability.
• Debug front‑end issues and respond to internal reports of system friction.
• Collaborate with the backend team to ensure accurate data presentation.
• Write technical documentation for built components.
• Review peer code to uphold standards of clarity and logic.

Required profile

• Early‑career developer with a strong interest in clean, logical coding.
• Ability to write clear, simple, and maintainable code.
• Legal right to work in Kenya and at least four hours overlap with US Eastern Time.
