Laboratory Technician for BOSC Clinic (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Laboratory Technician to support the Base Operating Support Contractor (BOSC) Clinic on Diego Garcia. You will conduct sampling, testing, and laboratory analysis while ensuring compliance with technical, operational, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process samples according to the contractor's sampling plan.
• Prepare and deliver written training plans; train laboratory personnel on sampling and testing procedures.
• Perform re‑sampling, re‑testing, and laboratory analyses as required, ensuring cost‑effective compliance.
• Conduct laboratory analysis, produce accurate results, and submit reports within contract timelines.
• Execute laboratory audits, quality checks, and routine system inspections to meet DoD Instruction 4715.15 accreditation or equivalent.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure reliability.
• Compile detailed reports on results, procedures, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineering staff to review findings and provide actionable recommendations.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in laboratory analysis, sampling, and testing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills to ensure regulatory compliance.
