Lower Primary Teacher – Maths, Science & Technology

About the role

Strathmore School is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to deliver Mathematics, Science and Technology to learners in Grades 1 to 3. The role focuses on creating engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that align with the Competency Based Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Mathematics and Science & Technology lessons for lower primary classes.
• Design learning activities that follow the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
• Monitor learner progress, assess performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance and development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support learner wellbeing.
• Participate in staff meetings, school activities and professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification with Mathematics as the primary specialism.
• Valid TSC registration or eligibility to register.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for teaching young learners and ability to make mathematics enjoyable.
• Patient, nurturing, organised and reliable.

Required skills

• Subject knowledge in Mathematics, Science and Technology.
• Familiarity with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) framework.
