Meetings Services Assistant (WAE Roster) – UN Nairobi

About the role

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is seeking multiple Meetings Services Assistants on a When Actually Employed (WAE) roster. The position is located in the Meetings Management Unit of the Division of Conference Services and reports to the Senior Meetings Assistant. The role supports UNON’s mandate to provide administrative, security, conference and information services for UN programmes operating in Kenya and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out duties assigned by the Senior Meetings Assistant within the Meetings Management Unit.
• Assist in the preparation, coordination and execution of meetings, conferences and related events.
• Maintain meeting documentation, records and logistical arrangements.
• Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operation of conference services.

Required profile

• Relevant education and experience appropriate for a G3 level position.
• Ability to work under delegated authority in a multicultural UN environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
