Recruitment & Programme Associate

About the role

Shortlist Futures is seeking a Recruitment & Programme Associate to lead end‑to‑end recruitment and support programme operations for the Mastercard Foundation Associate Program across East Africa. The role is remote within Africa, with a preference for candidates based in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment for multiple employer partners, including role scoping, job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination and communication.
• Maintain accurate placement and recruitment data in the ATS, CRM and internal trackers, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Track and report on key metrics, prepare programme updates, employer summaries and donor‑facing reports.
• Build and maintain dashboards and trackers to give the team visibility on delivery.
• Coordinate communication with employer partners and hiring managers throughout recruitment and onboarding.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a programme or project‑based environment.
• Strong organisational and operational mindset with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
