Security Compliance Assessor

About the role

We are looking for a Security Compliance Assessor to join Soteria’s remote team. You will guide clients through ISO 27001, CSA Star, SOC 2 and other security frameworks, delivering clear audit insights that help protect data and build trust.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct audits for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and related frameworks.
• Perform gap assessments to identify process and control improvements.
• Work closely with clients to understand operations and verify compliance.
• Prepare and deliver clear, actionable audit reports.
• Present findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate audit schedules to meet strict client deadlines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest compliance standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Soteria’s global team to ensure exceptional client outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience in compliance, auditing or information security.
• Certification such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA or CISSP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects independently.
• Comfortable working fully remotely and across distributed teams.
• Willingness to work 1 pm – 10 pm East Africa Time on a regular basis.
