Senior Manager, Information Security (National)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Information Security leads Church World Service Africa’s enterprise information security program. Reporting to the Regional Risk, Audit and Compliance Director, the role ensures that all information assets are protected, risks are identified and mitigated, and compliance with NIST, legal and organizational standards is maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive information security and IT risk management strategy aligned with CWS policies, NIST moderate controls and national regulations.
• Supervise Senior Information Security Officers and coordinate with business continuity and IT operations teams.
• Oversee the creation, adoption and enforcement of security policies, procedures and standards.
• Manage staffing, hiring, training and professional development for the security team.
• Provide regular risk assessments, reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, regional representatives and external partners to ensure consistent security posture.

• Confidence handling complex networks, software, equipment and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience leading security teams in a multinational, non‑profit environment.
