Specification Engineer – Construction Chemicals

About the role

We are looking for a Specification Engineer to promote Sika’s construction chemical solutions to consultants, architects, contractors and developers. The role bridges technical expertise and sales, ensuring our products are correctly specified and applied throughout construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Promote construction chemical solutions to consultants, architects, contractors and developers.
• Secure product specifications in tender documents and obtain technical approvals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering consultants, architects, government authorities and project owners.
• Deliver technical presentations, seminars and product demonstrations.
• Support sales teams with technical expertise during project discussions and negotiations.
• Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs and tender documents to identify opportunities.
• Recommend appropriate waterproofing, flooring, concrete repair, sealing, bonding, grouting and protective coating systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and applicators to ensure correct product application and compliance.
• Monitor projects from design through execution and maintain project tracking records.
• Conduct market intelligence, track competitor products and trends.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing and sales to support business growth initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.

Required profile

• Experience in promoting and specifying construction chemical solutions.
• Ability to build strong relationships with consultants, architects and project owners.
• Strong technical communication skills for presentations and demonstrations.
