About the role

The Supply Chain Intern will support Save the Children’s logistics unit in Nairobi, assisting with asset and warehouse management as well as procurement processing for the country office and field locations. This role offers hands‑on experience in supply chain operations within a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive goods in the warehouse, verify quantities against delivery notes, and coordinate inspection with program teams.
  • Provide coverage for the Supply Chain Assistant by releasing program stock, arranging warehouse space, and updating bin cards.
  • Support planning and dispatch of supplies to field offices, ensuring accurate documentation and stock movement records in TIM.
  • Assist with fleet data analysis, monitor running costs, utilisation, and vehicle rotation across field sites.
  • Help process incident/accident insurance claims and negotiate benefits.
  • Contribute to consolidation of fleet‑related procurement, such as tires, and liaise with the Procurement team.
