Tax Advisor – People Advisory Services

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Advisor to join its People Advisory Services team. The role focuses on expatriate and local employee tax matters, providing proactive compliance and advisory services to multinational clients operating in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax computations for expatriates and local staff.
• Ensure social security compliance and manage interactions with the Kenya Revenue Authority.
• Advise on tax implications of international assignments, short‑term cross‑border moves, and equity compensation.
• Coordinate tax, immigration, and expatriate compliance matters.
• Utilise iTax for filing and reporting obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance with at least upper second‑class honours.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or CA) is an advantage.
• Minimum three years of experience with a reputable tax service provider handling large multinationals.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax and social security legislation.
• Minimum overall grade of B in KCSE and B in English & Mathematics.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with iTax.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
