Tax Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role
Turing is seeking experienced tax professionals to help shape AI understanding of tax preparation, compliance, and corporate tax workflows. As a remote contractor, you will create realistic tax scenarios and evaluate AI-generated tax reasoning.
Key responsibilities
- Create tax workflow prompts and synthetic tax return scenarios.
- Evaluate AI-generated tax calculations and reasoning.
- Identify edge cases such as deduction errors, apportionment issues, and ASC 740 miscalculations.
- Build expert rubrics and reasoning traces for AI evaluation.
Required profile
- 4–12 years of experience in individual, business, or corporate tax.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax law and GAAP basics.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with corporate tax provision or multi‑state exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI evaluation, LLMs, or tax automation platforms is a plus.

What we offer
- Fully remote work environment.
