Temporary Reception Teacher – Mid‑Year Start

About the role

Blakeview Primary School is seeking a temporary Reception teacher to start mid‑year and lead a full class of beginning learners. The role runs from 20 July 2026 to 11 December 2026 and offers a full‑time schedule with the possibility of part‑time or flexible arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver play‑based learning experiences for Reception students.
• Implement trauma‑informed practices to support student wellbeing.
• Maintain strong organisational systems for classroom management and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum initiatives such as Zones of Regulation, Project‑Based Learning and Learning Guide Units.

Required profile

• Experience working with new learners in early childhood settings.
• Enthusiasm for inspiring young children and fostering a love of learning.
• Willingness to provide two current referees who can verify relevant experience.
