Volunteer App Designer/Developer (Remote)

About the role

NavKids Africa is seeking four volunteer App Designers and Developers to help build mobile solutions that improve school transportation safety across Africa. This remote, unpaid position is ideal for recent graduates, final‑year students, junior developers, and UI/UX designers eager to gain hands‑on experience on a social‑impact project.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary product team to design and develop mobile applications.
• Implement UI/UX designs, create wireframes, and prototype user flows.
• Integrate GPS, mapping, and tracking functionalities.
• Develop front‑end features for web and mobile platforms.
• Work with back‑end APIs to ensure seamless data exchange.

Required profile

• Recent graduate, final‑year student, or junior professional in software development or design.
• Strong motivation to contribute to a socially responsible tech initiative.
• Ability to work independently and within a remote team.
