The Public Service Commission is recruiting for 849 posts. Sixty-eight of them, in 16 adverts, are open to all applicants with no experience required. Here is what is open and how to apply before 13 October 2026.

Introduction

The Public Service Commission (PSC) currently lists 43 job adverts for 849 posts across government departments. Most of them are reserved for serving officers, but 16 adverts, totalling 68 posts, are open to all applicants and require no previous experience. All of them close on 13 October 2026.

1. The 68 posts open to all

State Department for Petroleum: 30 posts

  • Geologist II: 4

  • Petroleum Technologist III: 5
  • Petroleum Economic Analyst II: 3
  • Petroleum Social Development Analyst II: 3

State Department for Mining: 26 posts

  • Social Development Officer II: 15
  • Gemmologist II: 4
  • Laboratory Technologist III: 3
  • Metallurgist I: 2
  • Gemstone Cutter/Facetor: 2

Other departments: 12 posts

  • Shipping and Maritime Officer II (State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs): 10
  • Programme Officer II (State Department for Cabinet Affairs): 2

These adverts (172/2026 to 187/2026) were published on 22 September 2026 and close on 13 October 2026. The full requirements of each post are given in its advert on the PSC portal.

2. Who can apply

The 16 adverts above are marked "Open": any qualified applicant can apply, and no previous experience is required. The other 27 adverts (781 posts) are "For Serving Officers Only".

3. How to apply

  1. First-time users register on the PSC online recruitment system with their ID or passport number, surname, current email address and a password.
  2. Log in with your ID or passport number and password, then apply for the advert.
  3. Make sure the information you give is accurate: under section 100(4) of the Public Service Commission Act 2017, giving false or misleading information to the Commission is an offence.
  4. You can review and amend your application at any time before the advert closing date.

4. Beware of fraud

The PSC warns against fraudsters posing as its staff and asking for money in exchange for shortlisting, appointment or promotion. Its services are free of charge: never pay anyone to get a public service job.
