Accounting Data Entry Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Data Entry Officer to join our finance team in Nairobi. The role focuses on accurate entry and maintenance of financial data using QuickBooks, supporting reporting and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and maintain financial transactions, invoices, receipts, payments and expenses in QuickBooks.
• Reconcile accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and assist in the generation of financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date accounting records and documentation.
• Support audit and accounting assignments as required.
• Collaborate with accountants and auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Completed CPA or ACCA qualification (ACCA highly preferable).
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience with QuickBooks.
• Previous experience in an audit or accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial record keeping.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• High integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
