Advocacy Communications Intern

About the role

The Advocacy Communications Intern will support The Nature Conservancy’s advocacy and strategic communications initiatives across Africa. Working closely with the Associate Director of Advocacy and Strategic Communications, the intern will help create compelling storytelling, strategic messaging, and stakeholder engagement materials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop advocacy materials, media content, and digital campaign assets.
• Produce research‑based communications products that raise the visibility of conservation and policy priorities.
• Assist with media outreach, stakeholder engagement activities, and meeting preparation.
• Document engagements, maintain communications resources, and support internal coordination and reporting.

Required profile

• Early‑career communications professional with a passion for conservation, public policy, and sustainable development in Africa.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multicultural and diverse teams.
• Commitment to The Nature Conservancy’s core values.
