Assistant Production Manager

About the role

The Assistant Production Manager supports the Production Manager in ensuring smooth workshop operations for blinds, curtains, shading solutions and furniture. Working closely with production staff, quality control, dispatch and the showroom team, the role helps align output with customer orders and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily, weekly and monthly production schedules based on showroom orders and priorities.
• Monitor workflow to meet quality, safety and delivery standards.
• Supervise production staff, providing guidance on operational tasks.
• Coordinate manpower, material and equipment usage with supervisors.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
• Support the Production Manager in implementing best practices and policies.
• Maintain production records such as output, downtime and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Step in for the Production Manager during absences.
• Facilitate communication between production, QC, dispatch, logistics and showroom teams.
• Provide regular updates to the showroom on production progress and product availability.
• Assist in training and mentoring new production staff.
• Ensure finished products meet aesthetic, functional and quality standards for Vitendi.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Production/Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 36 months of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and coordinate with showroom or sales teams.
• Good understanding of safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Analytical mindset to monitor production data and suggest cost‑saving improvements.
