Barista

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Barista to join our coffee service team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality coffee beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, specialty beverages) following standard recipes.
• Calibrate grinders and espresso machines to ensure consistent extraction and flavor.
• Steam and texture milk to the correct temperature and micro‑foam quality.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Greet customers, take orders accurately, and provide coffee‑related recommendations.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
• Operate and maintain café equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and POS terminals.
• Keep the workstation clean and adhere to food‑safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; report shortages.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and support teammates during peak periods.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Food & Beverage or Barista training.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a barista in a café or restaurant.
• Strong technical knowledge of espresso preparation and machine handling.
