Brand Project Manager

About the role

Watu Credit Ltd is seeking a Brand Project Manager to lead marketing projects and campaigns that support the company’s brand and communication goals across all operating countries. Reporting to the Head of Brand, you will coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure the delivery of creative strategies that drive brand awareness and entrepreneurial empowerment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the project management process for all brand‑related initiatives, ensuring alignment with briefs, risk mitigation, quality standards, and timelines.
• Develop and execute PR strategies and campaigns, managing media relations to secure positive coverage and consistent messaging.
• Implement digital marketing tactics including SEO, SEM, email marketing and social media campaigns to increase brand reach.
• Manage marketing project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor agency deliverables.
• Collaborate with creative and content teams to produce on‑brand graphics, videos and written materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, project management or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong copy‑writing ability.
• Creative thinking, problem‑solving and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and within a team.
• Knowledge of the African market and cultural sensitivities is a plus.
