Building Manager – Facility Operations in Nairobi

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Building Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our facilities in Nairobi. The role involves ensuring the building remains safe, secure, and well‑maintained while supporting the needs of its occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled inspections at the start and end of each shift.
• Log repair requests in Zoho and follow up to guarantee timely completion.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, civil and water systems.
• Accompany service technicians during routine checks (e.g., lifts, fire extinguishers) and sign off on completed work.
• Monitor and record cleaners’ attendance and supervise daily cleaning activities.
• Manage building security and control access to user offices.
• Address occupant complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution.
• Oversee event set‑up, verify material availability, and coordinate post‑event clean‑up and asset return.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Business Management, Project Management or related field.
• 2‑3 years experience in project or property management.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Effective time‑management, organization and basic safety awareness.

Required skills

• Zoho (work‑order and reporting platform).
