Business Operations Manager

About the role

Securex is seeking a Business Operations Manager to lead its Security Solutions Business Unit in Nairobi. The role combines commercial leadership with operational oversight of intelligent security services, ensuring high‑value delivery to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Security Solutions Business Unit commercially and operationally, focusing on service delivery and customer support.
• Identify customer needs and drive upselling and cross‑selling of the full range of security products and services.
• Oversee daily monitoring, management and response to security control systems, including SIEM/Sentinel platforms.
• Lead incident response, coordinate with vendors, and produce up‑to‑date incident reports.
• Develop procedures, draft reports, prepare business cases and adjust staffing requirements.
• Plan and organize activities to meet deadlines, ensuring compliance with security best practices and legislation.
• Apply financial acumen to cost control, budgeting and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven track record in security management, planning and coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, make sound judgments and solve problems hands‑on.
• Experience writing procedures, reports and business cases.
• High level of integrity and vigilance.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, specifically Sentinel.
• Knowledge of technology‑driven security solutions.
