Chartered Accountant (CA) – Construction Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead financial management for our construction projects in Nairobi. The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end reporting, providing strategic advice, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end financial reporting and ensure IFRS compliance.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management on project performance.
• Oversee internal and external audit processes.
• Manage intercompany transactions and financial consolidations.
• Develop and implement project cost‑control systems and forecasting models.
• Review and approve project budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify risks.
• Advise on corporate tax strategies and regulatory compliance.
• Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of financial information.
• Present financial performance to international stakeholders and coordinate reporting with the Zubaida Group head office.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification (ICAEW, ICAI, SAICA or equivalent).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in construction or a complex business environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• High professional ethics, confidentiality and integrity.
