Communication Coordination Consultant

About the role

The Communication Coordination Consultant will support the Justice for Survivors (J4S) project, a joint initiative of IPPF Africa Region, AFJCI and CRR funded by AFD. The role focuses on strengthening feminist organisations across Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Tanzania and Kenya through capacity‑building, mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate communication activities for the J4S project, ensuring consistent messaging across all partner organisations.
• Develop and adapt training materials on gender‑transformative approaches and capacity strengthening.
• Facilitate mentorship and sub‑grant processes for small and informal feminist organisations.
• Collect, analyse and disseminate research‑action findings to inform scaling and sustainability strategies.
• Maintain regular liaison with IPPFAR, member associations, donors and regional partners.

Required profile

• Experience working in international development, gender‑based violence, or sexual and reproductive health sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work with civil‑society organisations and feminist movements.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
