Communications Associate

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a Communications Associate to lead the communication strategy for its NutriSave program in Kenya. The role will document and showcase the impact of pilots that rescue surplus fruits and vegetables and turn them into affordable, nutritious food for low‑income communities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end communication workflow for two core pilots: a B2B digital platform and a washing, cutting, peeling, and packaging (WCPP) service.
• Develop and execute storytelling assets that translate technical milestones, research findings, and pilot results into compelling narratives.
• Maintain the NutriSave brand, ensuring consistency across all donor, partner, academic, and public communications.
• Produce high‑impact content for reports, newsletters, social media, and presentations to highlight program successes.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather data and insights needed for communication materials.

Required profile

• Creative, strategic, and highly organized professional with a passion for impact‑driven communication.
• Strong ability to turn technical information into clear, engaging stories for diverse audiences.
• Experience working in development, agriculture, or nutrition‑focused projects is preferred.
