Construction Research Intern – Tender & Project Analysis

About the role

The Construction Research Intern will support Click Tenders Africa by identifying and analysing construction and infrastructure tender opportunities across Kenya. This role offers hands‑on experience in market research, data management and report preparation within the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify construction, infrastructure and related tender opportunities from official government, institutional and reliable sources.
• Verify tender and project information before entry into the company’s research systems.
• Organise and maintain accurate databases of tenders, projects, companies and industry information.
• Monitor construction and infrastructure developments to spot emerging projects and market opportunities.
• Conduct research on construction companies, procuring entities and project owners.
• Assist in preparing concise research briefs, project summaries and market insights for internal use.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology or a related discipline.
• Genuine interest in construction, infrastructure development and tendering.
• Strong research and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written communication and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to organise information systematically and work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with standard office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint).
