Credit Administration Officer – Nairobi

About the role

The Credit Administration Officer will ensure that all securities and related documentation received from disbursement officers meet the bank’s standards. This role supports the lending process by maintaining accurate records, monitoring compliance, and providing timely customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Validate incoming securities documents, flag deficiencies and communicate corrective actions.
• Maintain diaries to track renewals of guarantees, valuations, insurances, land rent and rates.
• Coordinate with branches and business units to achieve 100% compliance on insurance renewals, rent payments and security revaluations.
• Facilitate the release of securities following established procedures and update the securities register in T24.
• File and safeguard all security and credit documents, manage vault access under dual‑control, and keep a movement register.
• Respond to queries on facility clearance, drawdown and securities documentation via email and phone.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, support audit processes and achieve satisfactory audit ratings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in securities, lending, credit administration or debt management.
• Familiarity with NTSA and MPSR is an advantage.
• Knowledge of legislation on perfection of securities and CBK prudential guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the T24 banking system.
