Data Analyst Intern (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join Pixel Systems’ remote team and support a financial‑technology partner in East Africa. You will work on cleaning, organizing and migrating large volumes of transaction data, ensuring its accuracy and readiness for long‑term use.

Key responsibilities

• Examine raw financial logs and identify inconsistencies or errors.
• Clean and transform data sets using spreadsheet tools and basic data‑cleaning techniques.
• Assist developers in mapping data fields to new PostgreSQL databases.
• Verify data flows correctly between systems and document any issues.
• Build simple internal dashboards to visualise data quality and system performance.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and enjoys solving puzzles within data.
• Comfortable working independently while staying connected with a remote team.
• Patience for repetitive tasks that require high accuracy.
• Good written communication skills for reporting findings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (filters, basic formulas, data‑cleaning functions).
• Basic understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
