Data Science Trainer

About the role

Mediacrest Training College is seeking a full‑time Data Science Trainer to join its Nairobi campus. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that cover statistics, programming, machine learning and data visualization, helping learners acquire practical, industry‑relevant skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials and curriculum for various learner levels.
• Conduct lectures, hands‑on labs and practical sessions on data‑science topics.
• Supervise projects, assignments and real‑world case studies.
• Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor students and collaborate with fellow trainers to continuously improve the curriculum.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest data‑science tools and industry trends.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with formal training in pedagogy or education.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Practical experience in data science and a proven ability to teach or train adults.
• Excellent communication, presentation and classroom‑management skills in a multicultural environment.
