Debt Collection Agent

About the role

Newark Frontiers Ltd is seeking a Debt Collection Agent to recover outstanding defaulted loans for its micro‑finance portfolio. The role is target‑driven, with daily, weekly and monthly collection goals that directly impact the company’s performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collect outstanding debts in line with assigned targets.
• Negotiate payment plans and record promises to pay (PTPs).
• Follow up consistently with customers to secure payments.
• Educate customers on debt clearance options and explain consequences of non‑payment.
• Manage a large portfolio of SME clients efficiently.
• Identify reasons for overdue payments and recommend credit term adjustments.
• Respond to customer enquiries and complaints promptly.
• Provide accurate account details, including balances.
• Apply appropriate debt recovery methods and techniques.
• Maintain high‑quality customer service throughout the collection process.
• Investigate and resolve queries in accordance with company policies.
• Preserve customer relationships while ensuring payment collection.
• Prepare regular collection reports as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in a related field from a recognized institution.
• 1‑2 years experience in debt collection, credit, sales or marketing.
• Proven ability to negotiate payment plans and handle customer enquiries.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
