Deputy Security Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy Security Manager to support the security function of West Kenya Sugar Company Ltd., a leading sugar milling operation in Kenya. Reporting to the Security Manager, you will help safeguard people, assets and production facilities across our manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and enforce security policies, procedures and emergency response plans.
• Lead, supervise and mentor a team of security officers and guards.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits and risk analyses of plant and office premises.
• Manage access control systems, CCTV networks and other security equipment.
• Investigate security incidents, prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, law‑enforcement agencies and external security service providers.
• Deliver security awareness training to employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in security management, law enforcement or the armed forces.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan security and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively and solve problems.
• Physically fit and able to respond to emergencies.
