Digital Agricultural Transformation Manager

About the role

Kakuzi is seeking a Digital Agricultural Transformation Manager to lead the implementation of precision agriculture solutions across its horticultural and tree‑crop operations. The role will combine agricultural expertise with data‑driven technologies to improve productivity and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage digital agriculture platforms (precision agriculture) throughout the business.
• Integrate multiple data sources into a unified management reporting system.
• Validate digital data against field conditions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Drive daily use of digital tools and build digital capability across teams.
• Produce weekly and monthly management reports and actionable insights.
• Identify and implement AI, machine learning, and data analytics opportunities to enhance operational performance.
• Manage technology vendors and support continuous digital innovation.

Required profile

• Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field (post‑graduate qualification is an advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience implementing digital or precision agriculture solutions, preferably in horticulture or tree crops.
• Experience in data validation, quality assurance, and agricultural analytics.
• Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent dashboard development and reporting abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train others.
