About the role
The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation is seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to support its Finance department. This position is based in Westlands, Nairobi and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all income and expenditures, ensuring proper authorization and supporting documentation.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and record all approved financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Process and record payments, and prepare monthly management accounts.
- Enforce compliance with the organization’s internal controls and assist in statutory payment documentation.
- Support the Finance Manager with additional finance and accounting duties as required.
Required profile
- Minimum CPA Section IV qualification.
- At least 3 years of finance‑related work experience, preferably within NGOs.
- Demonstrated ability to work with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
