Finance Officer – THRIVE Program

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the THRIVE programme by reviewing financial reports, preparing consolidated donor statements, tracking expenditures and ensuring compliance with documentation. Working under the Project Finance Manager, the officer will manage cash‑flow planning, remittance schedules and partner budget assessments to strengthen accountability and transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor partners’ financial performance to ensure compliance with contractual, donor and Hivos regulations.
• Strengthen partners’ capacity to understand and manage their assigned budgets.
• Review partners’ fund availability and process disbursements.
• Obtain and consolidate partners’ executed amounts for inclusion in donor financial reports.
• Evaluate audit results submitted by partners according to Hivos assessment standards.
• Record findings from partner evaluations in the All Solutions system.
• Review partner financial reports for completeness before full evaluation.
• Provide timely feedback to partners when reports require corrections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
• Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and financial regulations.
• Ability to work with the Hivos All Solutions financial system.
• Strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
