About the role
The Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Coordinator will provide technical leadership for the THRIVE Project, ensuring gender and inclusion are fully integrated into economic empowerment, environment and climate change interventions. The role involves capacity building, monitoring, reporting and advocacy across THRIVE and related projects.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of GEDSI integration for program teams and partners across project outcomes.
- Design and deliver training materials on gender equality, disability and social inclusion for staff, partners and local authorities.
- Provide quality assurance and technical feedback on GEDSI implementation, ensuring compliance with World Vision’s Theory of Change.
- Conduct GEDSI assessments, develop monitoring tools, and report disaggregated data by sex, age and disability.
- Represent the project in stakeholder meetings at county, national and international levels, advocating for gender mainstreaming.
Required profile
- At least 4 years’ experience in gender, disability or social inclusion programming with proven implementation success.
- A degree in social sciences (e.g., Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies) with a focus on environment or natural resource management.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently, build capacity of staff and partners, and navigate cross‑cultural contexts.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project).
- Experience using SPSS or similar socio‑economic analysis tools.
