Global Foundations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Global Foundations Manager to lead and expand Welthungerhilfe’s foundation funding across the world. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with country offices and the German headquarters to build and manage strategic philanthropic partnerships that support our Zero Hunger mission.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage relationships with national and international foundations.
• Design and implement strategic foundation fundraising plans aligned with country programmes.
• Coordinate with country offices to establish processes for foundation engagement and reporting.
• Collaborate with the Philanthropy & Partnerships team in Germany to build a global foundation pipeline.
• Lead direct negotiations with regional and local foundations operating in WHH project countries.
• Ensure coherent global donor strategy and alignment across all offices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in foundation fundraising or partnership development within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong understanding of donor pipelines, grant management and reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multicultural teams.
• Ability to work virtually with colleagues in different time zones.
