Head of REP Program / REP Director

About the role

The Head of REP Program will own Finagra’s Rural Enterprise Partner (REP) strategy and drive the end‑to‑end operating model across the full lifecycle. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will translate growth plans into concrete sourcing targets and build a high‑performing REP function in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own and continuously improve the REP operating model covering identification, screening, selection, agreement, onboarding, active operations, performance review, and exit.
• Develop and maintain the REP program playbook, stage‑gates, SOPs, templates and operating cadence.
• Translate Finagra’s growth objectives into geographic, crop, cluster, season and acreage sourcing targets.
• Build the REP Program department – define roles, responsibilities, team structure, KPIs and management routines.
• Act as final business owner for REP selection recommendations before capital commitment.
• Chair and coordinate cross‑functional REP assessment and approval processes, ensuring clear RACI and rapid escalation of blockers.
• Lead, coach and develop the REP Program team (Development Manager, Field Officers, Credit & Underwriting Analyst, Data/Scoring Analyst, etc.), set targets and ensure field teams have required tools.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and scale a REP or similar rural enterprise program.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making with experience coordinating agronomy, operations, finance, legal, tech and supply‑chain functions.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering measurable performance outcomes.
• Capability to create a visible pipeline of qualified REP candidates and ensure capital is deployed with clear risk‑return understanding.
